Axiom Biosciences is skipping Nasdaq for Hong Kong and the math behind that call is hard to argue with
San Diego biotech Axiom Biosciences announced July 21 it intends to become the first U.S. biotech company to list primarily on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, targeting a $200 million-plus IPO in 2027. The decision, driven by proximity to Chinese clinical partners and a reformed HKEX biotech framework that has attracted 70-plus listings, is being framed by SCMP and BioSpace as a potential template for other U.S. founders weighing non-U.S. venues.
