Hello Ricky Cucalon, welcome to startup Fortune. It's our pleasure to have you here, could you tell a little about yourself for our readers?
I'm a civil engineer from SF state who traded engineering to follow my passion as an entrepreneur.
We have read about your story being someone who became a millionaire from a little boy who used to wash cars in the street, could you please recall your earlier days for us?
Coming from a hardworking modest family i decided to become an entrepreneur at a young age because of the struggle i saw my parents go through while i was growing up.
You have graduated in Civil Engineering, do you ever regret not being an engineer by profession?
I graduated in 2016, and I do not regret the choice I made whatsoever. Entrepreneurship is where I am happiest and can make the biggest impact on the lives around me.
How did your family and friends react when you started your career as an entrepreneur?
Skeptical, no one really supported me. There were days I would question my sanity. I knew in my gut that it was the right choice to make.
You believed in Bitcoin before many of us did. How did you first know about it?
I found out about it when it was only $30. I was the type of guy that I thought I knew it all. I told myself that's money for smart people. A month later I saw it go from $30 to $400 so I decided to go from knowing it all to learning it all and open my mind to it. By the time I purchased them, it had shot up to $800. I was able to buy 18 Bitcoin's at $800 a piece later the price shot to $20k a piece and i was able to make over $500k and quit my job and pursue my passion.
Please tell us more about your widely known ‘ATM Movement', how did you come up with the idea to empower people through their smartphones?
ATM stands for About The Millions and the goal is to help people make WIFI money and start working smarter instead of harder.
I realized that people that were looking for opportunity but didn't have the info because they were taught to be an employee like I was myself. I came to the realization that everyone has a smartphone so if I gave people the right information I could change their financial situation.
Being an influencer on Instagram, what're your thoughts on the role of social media in marketing?
Social media is everything when it comes to marketing. Our generation would rather buy from instagram than any other type of advertisement.
Are you working on any specific projects right now? Where do you see the company going from here?
Expanding the company worldwide. I envision the ATM Movement in every single city in the world. Millions of people are praying for opportunity and it's my duty to give them one.
